Perseverance in Action

Success was never simply handed to Bertrand Moua — it was earned through perseverance, courage and a relentless pursuit of opportunity. Born in Laos during times of seemingly endless war, he faced constant instability, moving from village to village while his father served in the military. Despite these challenges, Bertrand remained committed to his education and was always striving for a better future.

When the Vietnam War forced him to flee his homeland as a teenager, Bertrand found himself in a refugee camp in Thailand, taking on leadership roles and helping families navigate their uncertain futures. His journey continued as he escaped to France, where he pursued his studies before making the bold move to follow Brian Moua, his role model, to the United States in search of greater opportunities.

Starting over was not easy. Bertrand worked as a security guard in one of Los Angeles’ most dangerous neighborhoods, surviving life-threatening encounters. But one pivotal night made him question his path. He realized as he aged that he needed more than just a job — he needed a way to build a future.

That opportunity came through financial services. Despite initial struggles with English, Bertrand’s ability to connect with diverse communities and his relentless drive led him to success. He built a thriving business, helped others achieve financial security and became a leader in an industry where representation matters.

Today, Bertrand’s journey stands as a testament to the power of perseverance in action. His story proves that no matter where you start, you can transform your future.
