Meet Ben Cook, Recognition Coordinator
When he first started working for First Financial Security, Inc. in 2014, Ben Cook didn’t fully know what was in store for him. Riding an emotional high (after getting engaged 2 days earlier), he accepted a job with FFS working in the New Business department.
“I didn’t fully understand what FFS was about, but I could tell there was something special from the energy of the people. I soon saw the power FFS had in providing financial peace of mind to so many families.”
His love for learning everything about anything (a trait he attributes to his degree from Wheaton College) and his keen eye for details served him well as he mastered New Business processes and workflows. He built valuable relationships with First Financial Security, Inc. associates as he worked closely with them on processing new applications.
Ben’s thirst for challenges and learning soon afforded him the chance to transfer to the Agent Services department. “I’m extremely grateful for my time of being able to work in multiple departments. I feel like it has given me a well-rounded view of how our associates build their businesses.”
Now, as the Recognition Coordinator for First Financial Security, Inc., he gets to expand that view even wider. Ben is currently responsible for working closely with FFS home office staff and key field leaders in administrating and implementing creative ways to support and recognize the achievements of FFS’ field representatives.
“I love walking along side our agents and cheering them on as they strive for their goals. Then, when they succeed, I have the great joy of publicly recognizing and celebrating their hard work and accomplishments. I’m a full-time fan and I love it. I’m excited to show the home office can propel our agents to reach new heights and further spread the impact of FFS’ vision.”
You can usually find Ben and his beautiful wife, Kirsten enjoying some sort of new and exciting food, exploring the outdoors, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
